GroveX Withdrawal Security and Address Whitelisting
Understand withdrawal security checks, destination verification and how address whitelisting can reduce the risk of sending assets to an unauthorized address.
Why withdrawals need extra care
Blockchain withdrawals can be difficult or impossible to reverse after they are broadcast.
For that reason, withdrawal security should focus on preventing mistakes and unauthorized transfers before the transaction leaves GroveX.
Verify the destination every time
Before confirming a withdrawal, check:
- asset;
- destination address;
- blockchain network;
- amount;
- memo or tag if required;
- withdrawal fee;
- any security verification shown by GroveX.
Do not rely only on the first and last few characters of an address when moving a significant amount.
Network matching
The destination wallet must support the network selected on GroveX.
The same token can exist on several networks.
Selecting a network because it has a lower fee is not safe unless the destination supports that exact network.

Address whitelisting
Where available, address whitelisting lets you maintain a set of approved withdrawal destinations.
This can reduce risk by making it harder to withdraw to a newly introduced or unauthorized address.
When adding a whitelist entry:
- verify the asset;
- verify the network;
- paste the address carefully;
- include a memo or tag where required;
- complete GroveX security verification;
- confirm that the saved address is the intended destination before using it.
Protect whitelist changes
A whitelist is only useful if changes to it are secure.
If you receive a security notification about a new withdrawal address that you did not add, treat it as potentially unauthorized account activity.
Secure the account and contact Support.
Consider a small test transfer
When using a new external wallet or a new network route, a smaller test withdrawal can help verify that the destination information is correct before sending a larger amount.
Remember that each withdrawal can have applicable network or platform fees.
Manual review
Some withdrawals can enter manual review.
A review can occur for security, fraud-prevention, compliance or risk reasons.
Additional verification may be requested before the withdrawal proceeds.

If you think a withdrawal is unauthorized
Act immediately:
- secure the GroveX password;
- secure the registered email;
- review devices and sessions;
- review API keys;
- review whitelist entries;
- contact GroveX Support.
If a blockchain transaction has already been broadcast, GroveX may not be able to reverse it.
