How to Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

What 2FA does

Two-factor authentication adds a time-based one-time code to supported GroveX sign-in and security actions.

Even if someone learns your password, they should not be able to complete protected actions without the second factor.

Set up authenticator 2FA

1. Sign in to GroveX.
2. Open Settings > Security.
3. Select the Two-Factor Authentication or Authenticator option.
4. Open a compatible TOTP authenticator application such as Google Authenticator or Authy.
5. Scan the QR code displayed by GroveX, or enter the manual setup key if provided.
6. Enter the current 6-digit code from the authenticator application.
7. Confirm the setup.

If GroveX provides backup or recovery codes, store them securely offline.

Protect the setup key

Treat the authenticator setup secret like a password.

Anyone who obtains the QR code or manual setup key may be able to generate valid authentication codes.

Do not send the QR code, setup key or live authenticator codes to another person.

My authenticator code does not work

Try these checks:

• Set the phone's date and time to Automatic.
• Wait for a new 6-digit code and try again.
• Make sure you are using the GroveX entry in your authenticator application.
• Refresh the GroveX security page if the setup session expired.
• If you restarted setup, use the newest QR code or manual key.

I changed or lost my phone

If you still have access to the old device or recovery method, move or restore your authenticator securely before removing the old setup.

If you no longer have access, contact GroveX Support.

For account protection, GroveX may request identity or other security verification before a 2FA reset is approved.

Important security reminders

GroveX Support will never ask you to send your password, seed phrase, private key or a live 2FA code for them to use.
